Santa Farma Pharmaceuticals HR Director Sema Yetkiner gave an insightful interview to Think Green magazine on “Corporate Sustainability.”
Sharing details about their corporate sustainability strategies and goals, Yetkiner said:
“We define corporate sustainability as the company's ability to sustain its existence by adapting to changing internal and external environmental conditions, while acting with consideration for environmental and social values. Our sustainability strategies are categorized into environmental and social sustainability. Regarding environmental sustainability, we focus on natural resource conservation, energy efficiency, waste management, and reducing our carbon footprint. In terms of social sustainability, we focus on employee rights, occupational health and safety, social benefit, equality, and diversity. She concluded her remarks by saying, “Santa Farma will continue to secure its place and role in the world of the future by closely monitoring economic and technological developments and climate change, and by aligning these transformations with the values embedded in its own corporate culture.”
